New Cell Structure Discovered: Meet the Hemifusome

A new cellular structure has been discovered! Alex Dainis explains how scientists used a 3D microscope called cryo-electron tomography, and  discovered the hemifusome, a new part inside animal cells found in humans, monkeys, rats, and mice. This structure may help cells recycle proteins and lipids, keeping our cells healthy and working smoothly. It's proof that even the smallest parts of our bodies still have amazing secrets to share.
