Traditional glitter is often made from thin sheets of plastic covered in aluminum foil, which reflects light in different directions to create a sparkly effect. However, plastic glitter contributes to microplastic pollution in the environment. You can create a similar sparkle by combining different types of salt with food coloring, and baking in the oven for five minutes!
