Logan brings over 20 years of experience designing and building digital solutions with a focus in user-centric experiences combined with a deep background in science. After earning his doctorate in chemistry, Logan worked in the technology groups of a number of organizations ranging from non-profits to Fortune 500 companies. Logan joins the Museum from his most recent role at Facing History and Ourselves – a global non-profit – where he served as the Chief Officer of Technology & Innovation.

"We are excited to bring Cameron on board to help us produce compelling digital science content online, onsite, and in schools,” said Tim Ritchie, president of the Museum of Science. “The digital world enables us to reach everyone, everywhere, with accessible and impactful science content. We look forward to Cameron’s leadership in helping us create digital experiences that change lives.”

Over the past year and a half, the Museum has increased online offerings, including virtual exhibits, educator engagements, and town hall discussions to create a diversified platform for public science learning. Currently, the Museum reaches close to five million people globally per year through onsite admission, online engagement, traveling exhibits, and in-classroom curriculum.

“I am honored to join the Museum of Science as its first Chief Digital Officer at such a pivotal time in the institution’s 191-year history,” said Logan. “While my career has focused on technology, I’ve always considered myself a scientist at heart. I am both thrilled and awed by the opportunity and the responsibility; this role allows to leverage the two areas of my background to inspire future scientists and STEM leaders.”

Logan’s appointment as the Museum’s first Chief Digital Officer is a crucial step in expanding the institution's digital infrastructure and strategizing for future growth. To increase the reach of the Museum’s educational and captivating content, Logan will lead the charge of developing and executing an evolved omnichannel strategy that highlights relevant science learning for all ages.

The Museum conducted an extensive search and worked with internal and external partners in the search process. Logan begins his new role on November 8.
