What does it mean to stand at the edge—of fear, of possibility, of transformation?

As we celebrate Disability Pride Month at the Museum of Science, join us for a powerful evening featuring a screening of Facing the Falls, an award-winning short documentary that follows international disability rights advocate Cara Yar Khan on a breathtaking and deeply personal journey through the Grand Canyon.

Directed by Celia Aniskovich and executive produced by Hillary Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, Facing the Falls captures Cara as she embarks on a daring 12-day expedition while living with a progressive, muscle-wasting disease that is steadily taking her mobility. What unfolds is more than a physical challenge—it is an exploration of courage, vulnerability, trust, and what it means to live fully in the face of uncertainty.

Set against the vast and unforgiving landscape of the canyon, the film documents both the external dangers of the expedition and the internal struggles faced by Cara and her team. It is a story of resilience, ambition, and perseverance—one that resonates with anyone who has ever faced a moment of doubt or stood on the brink of something bigger than themselves.

Following the screening, join us for a live conversation with Cara Yar Khan and Robert Ludke. Together, they will explore themes of resilience, disability-driven innovation, inclusive leadership, and the power of storytelling to reshape systems and expand opportunities. Drawing from their respective work across global policy, business, and advocacy, the conversation will offer a dynamic and thought-provoking perspective on what it means to build a more inclusive and sustainable future.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of storytelling, insight, and inspiration.
