Apollo 13 (1995)

Join the Space Consortium and the Center for Space Sciences for a screening of a classic favorite, Apollo 13, with a special presentation featuring astronauts Cady Coleman and Al Sacco, Jr.

This special IMAX® presentation is part of Massachusetts Space Week, celebrating innovation, exploration, and the legacy of space discovery with a panel discussion prior to the movie.

About the Panel

The Museum is excited to host an all-star panel preceding the film screening, including:

  • Astronaut Cady Coleman
  • Astronaut Al Sacco, Jr.
  • Moderated by Kevin Duda

About the Film
When an onboard explosion cripples the spacecraft, astronauts Jim Lovell (Tom Hanks), Fred Haise (Bill Paxton), and Jack Swigert (Kevin Bacon) must work against impossible odds to survive while mission control, led by Gene Kranz (Ed Harris), races to bring them home.

What begins as a routine journey to the Moon becomes a harrowing fight for survival, ingenuity, and teamwork under extreme pressure. With powerful performances and stunning recreations of spaceflight, Apollo 13 remains one of cinema’s most inspiring true stories of resilience and human determination.

This film is rated PG.

A Universal Pictures release. Directed by Ron Howard.
