How bright is your brain? 🧠

Believe it or not, your brain is glowing right now. For years, scientists have known that the brain gives off a faint natural light called ultra-weak photon emission (UPE) or biophotons produced when brain cells burn energy.

What’s new is that researchers can now measure this subtle glow with remarkable sensitivity. By combining UPE detection with tools like MRI and PET scans, scientists hope to unlock powerful new methods for non-invasive brain imaging, opening doors to earlier and more accurate detection of tumors, injuries, and neurological illness.
