Dr. Priscilla Chan Announced as Headliner of Museum of Science’s Fall 2021 Adult Programming Lineup

Tickets Now Available for a Virtual Evening with cofounder and Co-CEO of Chan Zuckerberg Initiative

BOSTON, MA Today, the Museum of Science, Boston, announced Dr. Priscilla Chan as the headliner of the Fall 2021 after-hours adult programming lineup. The one-night-only Lee and Nile Albright Annual Symposium invites guests to learn about the work of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) and how the organization aims to help solve some of the toughest challenges in Science and other areas. The event will be held virtually on Monday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. EST and is free to the public. Tickets are available now at mos.org/adults.

During the event, Dr. Priscilla Chan will discuss CZI’s efforts to accelerate biomedicine by supporting the science and technology that will help make it possible to cure, prevent, or manage all diseases by the end of the century. She will be joined in conversation by president of the Museum of Science, Boston, Tim Ritchie.

As a pediatrician and educator, Dr. Priscilla Chan’s frontline work with patients and students has informed her desire to find new paths to manage and cure disease, improve education, and expand opportunity for more people. She founded the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative in 2015 with her husband, Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Together, they are building a new kind of philanthropy – one aimed at harnessing technology, impact investing, and advocacy in addition to grantmaking.

Priscilla grew up in Quincy, Massachussets. She earned her BA in Biology at Harvard University and her MD at the University of California, San Francisco.
