Maha N. Mian, PhD Assistant Professor, Suffolk University; Research Associate, University of California, San Francisco Dr. Mian is a clinical psychologist and harm reduction researcher using mixed-methods and community-centered practices to develop equitable and accessible strategies to support safer use of cannabis and psychedelics. Clinically, she is passionate about addressing trauma and sexual violence, and as an educator, Dr. Mian is committed to amplifying underrepresented voices in psychology through undergraduate teaching, mentorship, and community engagement. Seungbin Oh, PhD Assistant Professor of Mental Health and Behavioral Medicine Program within Department Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine Seungbin Oh, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Department of Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine whose research focuses on suicidality, digital experiences, culturally responsive mental health care, and the development of prevention tools for youth and young adults. Anjali Tripathi, PhD NASA Exoplanet Science Ambassador; Research Scientist at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) Anjali Tripathi is NASA’s first Exoplanet Science Ambassador. As an astrophysicist at NASA JPL, she contributes to new missions and science policy. She previously served in the White House and attended MIT, Cambridge, and Harvard. About the Performers Odaiko New England For over 30 years we have been sharing the joy of Japanese taiko drumming through classes, workshops, educational school visits, and live performances around New England and beyond. Gund Kwok Asian Women's Lion & Dragon Dance Troupe Gund Kwok is the first all women and all Asian lion and dragon dance troupe in the country, pioneering in an art that was traditionally forbidden to women. (ASPIRE) ASPIRE's mission is to build and empower a community of Asian American women leaders through identity development, mentorship, and education. Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence ATASK is a nonprofit organization that serves Pan-Asian survivors of DV, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Our staff speaks over 22 Asian languages. We provide multilingual, culturally specific services to help survivors rebuild their lives. Bagong Kulturang Pinoy, Inc. Our mission is to develop a reading culture and promote literacy among children in the Philippines through literacy programs, teacher training, and book distribution. Boston Asian American Film Festival (BAAFF) Boston Asian American Film Festival (BAAFF) empowers Asian Americans through film by showcasing Asian American experiences and serving as a resource to filmmakers and the Greater Boston Community.
