Dr. Marcia Dernie’s new book, Movement for Every Body, is an inclusive fitness guide created for those who have spent their whole lives trying to fit a square peg into a round hole when it comes to exercise. This book is for the person who is often othered in fitness, wellness, and health spaces. And for those who find the idea of exercise and movement overwhelming, scary, and inaccessible.

Broken into four chapters that provide background information, journaling prompts, and illustrated movement activities, this groundbreaking new guide will prepare readers for each stage of their fitness journey, provide tips and resources for users, and broaden the wellness industry so that every body feels welcome and safe to participate.

Dr Marcia Dernie (she/they) is a Doctor Of Physical Therapy, accessible yoga teacher, child of Haitian immigrants, dancer, and chronically ill strength athlete. Their book Movement for Every Body serves as an inclusive roadmap for folks of all abilities, shades, and sizes to enjoy movement. She also provides free and affordable online resources to help folks move better through her platform @MoveWithMarcia.
