The Hall of Human Life (HHL) is the Museum’s permanent exhibition where visitors can explore how humans are changing in a changing environment. HHL staff and volunteers play a crucial role in supporting visitors’ experiences with human health, biology, and behavior through related activities, experiments and conversations. Our volunteers assist visitors as they explore scientific models, observe other living organisms, or use authentic science tools. Volunteers are provided training in techniques for engaging visitors in age-appropriate STEM learning, as well as in a wide range of content areas to support activity facilitation. Our goal is that visitors will be inspired be curious and think critically while having a positive learning experience about themselves and other living things.
