States of Matter

Available to Schools Only

Observe how solids, liquids, and gases change phases and properties when subjected to changes in energy, and learn how to define the states of matter. Our demonstrations involve extremely cold liquid nitrogen. Students will see balloons shrink, metal melt before their eyes, and a piece of paper set on fire using only water!

Please open our Programs-at-a-Glance chart for information about capacity, prices, and appropriate venues and audiences.
