Animal Engineers

Traveling Programs are temporarily unavailable. Out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with public health guidance, the Museum will not be offering Traveling Programs for the remainder of calendar year 2020. The Museum will make a decision about Traveling Programs reservations for January – June 2021 later this calendar year. The Museum of Science is committed to supporting students and educators. Resources can be found at MOS at Home. More to come soon!

Available to Non-School Groups Only

Let’s be animal engineers! Using storytelling, we will investigate how different animals build shelters. Students will explore animal engineering with puppets, sensory materials, and hands-on activities, and they will also meet a special live animal guest that creates its own amazing shelter! The culminating activity of the program combines everything we learned as students help a mother bird build a nest for its eggs.

Made possible by the generous support of the Gordon Foundation.
