National Chemistry Week Celebration

Celebrate National Chemistry Week at the Museum of Science! Participate in hands-on activities facilitated by guest scientists from local universities, and come see engaging demonstrations from world-famous Professor Bassam Shakhashiri. This year's theme is "Chemistry Is Out of This World." Participate in activities that showcase ice you'd find on the surface of Mars, launch rockets with chemical reactions, and discover how scientists use light to analyze faraway stars.

Hands-on activities are held from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Blue Wing, Lower Level. Professor Shakhashiri's presentations are in Cahners Theater, Blue Wing, Level 2, at 1:00 and 3:00 pm.

Exhibit Halls admission is required. Tickets are first come, first served, and can be ordered in advance (email secretary@nesacs.org before October 11) or picked up at a table in the lobby on the day of the event.

In collaboration with the Northeastern Section of the American Chemical Society.
