Part of the Cyber-Insecurity series.
Take a crash course in digital hygiene at this CryptoParty with Somerville Cryptoparty and other computer privacy activists. Get the basics of good cyber-habits, have your questions answered, and learn how to stay anonymous online. What threats should you worry about? Can people actually spy on you through your phones and laptops? Should you be concerned about who can read your text messages and emails? What's the lowdown on passwords? Privacy activists will impart their wisdom, share practical tools of digital security, and help you every step of the way. Bring a laptop, tablet, or smart phone if you want to load encryption tools on your device. Go home prepared!
Adults 18+ Only.

The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston initiated this partnership to link concurrent exhibitions and programs related to the themes of the ICA exhibition Art in the Age of the Internet, 1989 to Today.
