A Reno Family Foundation Symposium – An Evening with Isabella Rossellini

Isabella Rossellini has relished her long, varied, and vibrant career. Born into cinema royalty, she is the daughter of two legends: three-time Oscar-winning actress Ingrid Bergman and neo-realist film director Roberto Rossellini. She made her movie debut in Vincente Minnelli’s A Matter of Time, which starred her mother. A few years later she captured attention and hearts as the tortured nightclub singer Dorothy Vallens in the David Lynch film Blue Velvet. Her beauty dazzled from the magazine covers of Vogue, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, and ELLE and beguiles today as the face of French cosmetics brand Lancôme.

Isabella delighted fans when she wrote, directed, and acted in her Green Porno TV series and then brought Green Porno to theaters, exploring animal mating rituals and sexual behavior on stages around the world. When she wrote a book about the beloved chickens on her farm, she revealed keen talent for wry observation and clever drawing. This past spring she enchanted fans when she graduated from Hunter College with a Master’s degree in animal behavior. Following her passions and her curiosities, she has always remained rooted in who she is.

Revel in a special evening with charismatic Isabella Rossellini as she and dog expert Brian Hare discuss animal cognition and the wondrous intelligence in nature.
