Celestial Celebrations

On October 20, 1958 the Charles Hayden Planetarium threw open its doors for the first time, inviting Bostonians to see what the Boston Globe called "an indoor sky comparable to none". Sixty years later, we're still going strong, bringing the night sky indoors and inspiring a new generation of astronomers, physicists, and engineers.

Join us this October and beyond to celebrate our iconic Boston landmark. We've got everything from brand new shows to star maps to innovative music shows and events with cutting-edge artists and educators of all kinds. Don't miss out on the fun!
