In order to maintain the limited field size for the running of the in person 125th Boston Marathon, the Museum of Science, in partnership with the B.A.A, has made the decision to defer all in person entries to the 2022 race.
If you are a qualifying runner and have been accepted to participate in the in-person race on Monday, October 11, 2021, or would like to register for the Virtual Boston Marathon, and run on behalf of the Museum of Science, please contact email@example.com for more information.
Applications for the 126th Boston Marathon, taking place on April 18, 2022, will open this fall. If you are interested in running with the Museum of Science Marathon Team in 2022, please fill out the form below to be notified when our application is open.
The Museum of Science Marathon Team is a small group of individuals determined to make a big impact. Since 2010, the Museum of Science Marathon Team has raised more than $1 million in support of Traveling Programs, the Museum's very own traveling team of educators. With funds raised from the Marathon, Traveling Programs has purchased new vehicles, developed new programs, and had an impact on over 25,000 students!
Due to the pandemic, this past year has been uniquely challenging for the Museum’s Traveling Program. In November 2020, the Museum launched MOS at School to remotely connect K–12 students with Museum educators and deliver meaningful, accessible, and engaging learning experiences at a time when field trips and traveling programs are not possible. Those that participate in the virtual team for Fall 2021 will help support programming through MOS at School, allowing Museum educators to bring the magic of the Museum of Science and interactive, uniquely engaging STEM learning experiences to classrooms throughout Massachusetts and across the nation.
