The Technion: Powering the Future of Israel, Boston and Beyond

For more than a century, Israel’s Technion has pioneered science and technology education and delivered world-changing impact. Technion people, ideas, and inventions make immeasurable contributions to the world, including life-saving medicine, sustainable energy, computer science, water conservation, and nanotechnology.

Proudly a global university, the Technion has long leveraged boundary-crossing collaborations to advance breakthrough research and technologies. As the world’s growing population places stress on every aspect of our environment, the Technion is hard at work developing solutions for Israel, Boston, and beyond.

Tonight, the Technion joins us for an innovative conversation illuminating the power of international scientific collaboration and some of the ways they continue to safeguard our future to create a greener world. Professor Marcelle Machluf discusses the groundbreaking food tech research at the new Carasso Food Innovation Center, and associate professor Matthew Suss shares methods for purifying drinking water and accelerating the transition to renewable energy.

In partnership with The Consulate General of Israel to New England. This program is free, thanks to the generosity of the Lowell Institute.
