School Requests Form

Please enter the following information to complete your field trip presentation requests. You will receive separate confirmations for each type of presentation you are requesting.

Requests are accepted October through May, first come, first served and are subject to staff and venue availability. School requests are not available during Massachusetts holidays and school vacation periods.

Qualifying school groups with free or reduced lunch participation at or above 35% are eligible to apply for a bus scholarship. Please be sure to complete the Bus Scholarship section of this form.

Reservation Information
In order to submit this form you must enter your MS reservation number. If you do not have one, please contact Science Central.

Please select the presentations that you would like to request; however, please note that you may only select one Live Presentation. All requests are subject to availability.

Live Presentations
Programs range for grades 2- 12. Available Monday - Friday between 10:00 am - 11:30 am. Theater capacity 290. Minimum headcount required: 25
Recommended for grades 3- 12, Available Monday - Friday at 12:30pm. Theater capacity is 125. Minimum headcount required is 25
Gordon Current Science & Technology Center
Recommended for grades 6-12. Available Monday - Friday at 11:30 am. Theater capacity: 75. Minimum headcount required for reservation: 25.
Drop-In Activities
Recommended for grades 2-12. Available: Tuesday and Thursday. time: 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. Capacity: 15- 20.
Recommended for grades 4-10. Available: Monday – Friday. Time: 10:30 – 12:30pm. Capacity: 40.
Activities by Request
Programs range for grades 1-8. Available: Tuesday – Friday. Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Capacity: 30 – 40 per timeslot.

Bus Scholarships

The Museum of Science offers scholarships to help subsidize bus expenses to qualifying schools visiting the Museum on a field trip. The Museum offers up to $350 dollars toward the expense of one bus for schools within New England. Funding is limited and distributed on a first come, first serve basis. Some restrictions apply.

Qualifying schools must have 35% or greater participation in free/reduced lunch program or equivalent demonstrated financial need.

Schools are responsible for making all bus arrangements and paying the bus company of choice up front. Schools must provide documentation of bus payment before scholarship is issued. All scholarships will be issued after documentation is received and only after the field trip visit date.
