With Dr. Maria T. Zuber, Vice President for Research and the E. A. Griswold Professor of Geophysics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology
Through stimulating conversations and active engagement with science and engineering professionals, the biannual Women in Science Luncheon Series encourages young women to pursue careers in the sciences. It also contributes to the Museum's goal of helping adults become more informed about the concepts and tools we all need to navigate our rapidly evolving technological world.
Professor Zuber has been involved in more than half a dozen NASA planetary missions aimed at mapping the Moon, Mars, Mercury, and several asteroids. She currently serves as principal investigator of NASA's Gravity Recovery and Interior Laboratory mission. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a master of science and doctorate from Brown University.
Sponsored in part by the Roy A. Hunt Foundation.
