Description

When Steve Jobs made a toast to counterculture, and when young Mark Zuckerberg did business under the pulse of techno music in a San Francisco nightclub, these were not accidents. Music and technology have always gone hand in hand exposing listeners to sublime new experiences and consistently propelling them into the future.

Join us for a glimpse into the next chapter in the lives of music and technology: a live showcase of work by contemporary artists and the dialogue that takes place between them. Through the combination of live sound and moving image, you'll witness cutting-edge techniques of audiovisual sampling, cutting, and editing, as the artists explore and redefine themes of identity, aesthetics, and the relationship between body, spirit, and atmosphere. The result is a transcendent experience of art, sound, and technology.

Additional Information

Together Festival is an annual celebration of music, art, and technology, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The festival was first held in February 2010, with a primary focus on electronic dance music. As the festival has evolved, its laser focus has shifted to encompass a broader scope of musical genres as well as a thorough exploration of the art and technology sectors. Through a week-long series of educational and professional discussion panels, art installations, film screenings, and musical performances at venues around the Boston/Cambridge area, Together Festival has attracted around 20,000 attendees per year.
