Description

Celebrate National Chemistry Week 2013!

See exciting demonstrations from Bassam Shakhashiri, professor of chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Immediate Past President of the American Chemical Society, and participate in hands-on activities related to this year's theme — Energy: Now and Forever!

Meet scientists and students from all around New England who will lead fun, educational activities around the Museum. Build your own battery, split water into hydrogen and oxygen, find out why some light bulbs save more energy than others, and test the conductivity of a sports drink!

To reserve tickets (first come, first served) for Dr. Shakhashiri's presentations at 1:00 and 4:00 pm in Cahners Theater, visit the NESACS website.

Presented in collaboration with the Northeastern Section of the American Chemical Society.
