Description

Celebrate National Chemistry Week 2014!

See exciting demonstrations from Bassam Shakhashiri, professor of chemistry and famed demonstrator at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and participate in hands-on activities around this year's theme: The Sweet Side of Chemistry — Candy!

Learn about the chemistry of sweet, sour, stretchy, and sticky; explore the science behind foams, gels, and emulsions; and learn how artificial sweeteners work.

To reserve tickets (first come, first served) for Dr. Shakhashiri's presentations at 1:00 and 4:00 pm in Cahners Theater, visit the NESACS website.

Presented in collaboration with the Northeastern Section of the American Chemical Society.
