Description

Museum educators are developing exciting new experiences for young learners in science and engineering. Join us for a fun-filled morning that highlights three programs aimed at learners in pre-kindergarten through grade 2.

The Discovery Center team will engage you in activities for budding scientists in the Museum's Natural Mysteries exhibit and share ideas for using costumes and facilitated fantasy play to communicate science concepts. Educators from our Live Animal Story Time series will present a read-aloud program and discuss connecting science and literacy using stories. Finally, we'll explore engineering practices with a member of our Traveling Programs team by constructing a kid-sized bridge.

Resources to support your classroom work will be highlighted in the Educator Resource Center.

Registration is limited to Teacher Partners and is required at least two weeks in advance. Free parking available for this workshop.
