Whales compose, bullfrogs chorus, songbirds greet the dawn, and people everywhere sing and dance. Come find the common thread as you expand your understanding of what makes music. Our member-exclusive preview of this fun exhibit is open all day for you to sample different soundscapes and compose your own music from natural sound bites.
Through whimsical, hands-on activities, you'll not only hear the music that surrounds you every day, you'll see and even feel it too! You'll learn how human music is inspired by the music of other living creatures — from tiny insects to giant whales.
Admission is free, but limited to the number of entries permitted with your membership level. No reservations are required for this event, just check in upon arrival at the registration table with your valid membership card.
During very busy times, we may restrict admission of strollers into the exhibit, and they will need to be parked in a designated area outside the gallery. Questions? Call the Membership Department at 617-589-0180, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily.
