Lindsey Acampa
Hometown: Cambridge, MA
Lindsey is thrilled to be running her first marathon to support Traveling Programs. Having grown up in Saugus, Lindsey has always wanted to run the Boston Marathon, and supporting the Museum's efforts to bring science programs to students who are not able to come experience the Museum itself makes this endeavor even more rewarding and exciting for her. As a child, Lindsey frequently would visit the Museum with her family on school vacation days, especially when new exhibits opened. Her interest in science led her to concentrate in biology at Harvard College, and after graduating in 2007, Lindsey began working at a life sciences consulting firm, which has only kept up her interest in the field. Lindsey believes it is important to give children the opportunity to learn and become excited about science, and she is grateful for the chance to help in this endeavor.

Jamison Barr
Hometown: Cambridge, MA
Jamison Barr is an in-house attorney at a Boston software company. Originally from western Massachusetts, he moved to Cambridge in 2000 and resides near the Museum of Science. Jamison hopes that by running the marathon with the Museum team, he will get an extra edge in learning the "science" that is needed to complete the marathon. On a serious note, Jamison continues to learn from the Museum, just as he did in his childhood -- and he wants to give back to his neighbor and help raise funds so that it can continue its tradition of educational excellence.

Evan Freedman
Hometown: Atlanta, GA
Evan grew up in Holliston, just one town over from where the Boston Marathon starts in Hopkinton. Evan studied at Deerfield Academy in western Massachusetts and Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he majored in cognitive neuroscience. When he's not running, Evan is a supervisor at a distributor of industrial supplies, and on the weekends he enjoys refereeing hockey. Evan's childhood memories of spending time at the Museum, either in the Mugar Omni Theater or in the Mathematica exhibit, drew him to join the Museum team. He feels Traveling Programs can help augment science education in the Greater Boston area where it is needed most. Since not everyone is able to visit the Museum and take advantage of what it has to offer, the least Evan can do is help support the Museum and bring science education to the youth of the Boston metropolitan area!

She is absolutely thrilled to be running her fourth Boston Marathon as a member of the Museum of Science marathon team. The Museum has brought so much joy to the lives of Diana's children, William and Charlotte, who love everything from the giant T-rex model to the large Maine moose. As a physician, Diana believes that it is essential for all children to understand the importance of science in our world. She is honored to raise funds to ensure that those schools and communities who may not have the resources to visit the Museum can still benefit from its tremendous educational opportunities.

Hometown: Long Island City, NY
Jenn is very excited to be running her first Boston Marathon on behalf of the Museum of Science. She discovered her passion for running only two years ago and became addicted immediately. Born and raised in Brookline, Jenn has dozens of pleasant memories from visiting the Museum. She went on countless school field trips as a child, and her love of science continued in college where she majored in neuroscience. Jenn currently works at a not-for-profit biotechnology firm whose mission is to develop an HIV/AIDS vaccine. Ted MacLean
Hometown: Brookline, MA
Ted is a General Manager at Microsoft's New England Research & Development Center (NERD) in Cambridge. For the past three years, he has also served as a member of the Museum's Board of Overseers. Although this will be Ted's fourth marathon, it is his first run on the historic Boston Marathon course, something he is very excited about. Ted can't think of a better way to extend his support for an outstanding institution than by leveraging one of his own passions — running — to create opportunities to inform, share, and engage with others around one of our greatest local centers for innovation and culture, the Museum of Science. Ted currently resides in Brookline, Massachusetts where his wife and two children will be cheering on all of the Museum runners at mile 24!

Chinh Pham
Hometown: Newton, MA
Chinh is an avid sports fan. In between watching sports on the weekends, weeknights, and occasional afternoons (especially in March), Chinh practices intellectual property law. He works with many technology companies, from start-ups to multi-national corporations, on the creation and development of their IP portfolios. In his work, Chinh has seen the importance of a solid foundation in science and technology. Supporting programs like Traveling Programs introduces the students of today to the necessary science and technology foundation for tomorrow, ensuring that the United States maintains its role as a world innovation leader for years to come. This will be Chinh's third Boston marathon and his first officially. Without the support of his wonderful wife Laureen, son Collin, and daughter Caraline, Chinh would be watching the 2010 marathon instead of running it.

Vince Tseng
Hometown: Cambridge, MA
Vince Tseng is thrilled to run on behalf of the Museum of Science team to raise money and awareness for Traveling Programs.
