Bone Marrow Transplant for Sickle Cell Anemia

Working with anemic mice, scientists at the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research have corrected a genetic mutation in reprogrammed skin cells and then returned the "fixed" cells to the mice in successful treatment of sickle cell anemia.
