Innovators Event: Alternative and Renewable Energy

Forum [Return to listing page]

Learn about technologies that can help reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and lead us toward a low-carbon future — technologies such as wind, solar, and nuclear power, as well as co-generation and biofuels.

Through a mix of Museum demonstrations and informational presentations from experts, consider the benefits and trade-offs associated with these innovations. How do they affect us on an individual, regional, and global scale? Then, take on the role of an energy consultant to address case studies, discussing and recommending which strategies make the most sense.

Speakers include: Joan Fitzgerald, director, Law, Policy, and Society Program, Northeastern University; author, Emerald Cities: Urban Sustainability and Economic Development and Steven Strong, president, Solar Design Associates.

Tickets: visit mos.org/innovatorsrsvp or follow the link above. Registration begins January 25.

The Innovators are the Museum's dedicated group of philanthropic younger members (up to age 45) who enjoy having unparalleled access to pioneering initiatives in science and technology. For more information: 617-589-0370.
