Students of animal adaptations will want to visit the largest display of live lizards and snakes ever assembled in New England. Witness an amazing variety of squamates and observe their remarkable adaptations, including projectile tongues, deadly venom, amazing camouflage,and sometimes surprising modes of locomotion. Build a great field trip with related shows,exhibits, films, and presentations throughout the Museum.

Global Climate Change Field Trip
Double Exposure: Photographing Global Climate Change opens April 4
Appropriate for middle and high school students


View 14 pairs of images, each comparing a photograph taken 70 years ago by Museum founder Brad Washburn to one taken recently by environmental photojournalist David Arnold.  Then, see the brand-new Omni film, Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk, followed by a special school group presentation on climate change in the Gordon Current Science & Technology Center.

Traveling Programs


Planning for MCAS testing in May?  When the testing is done for the day, give the students an edutaining break with a live presentation by our Traveling Programs group.  Choose from 14 curriculum-based programs on a variety of topics from dinos to cryogenics.  Small-group presentations are available for up to 50 students, and school assembly programs can accommodate up to 200.  Multiple presentations can be scheduled on the same day.
