Summer Teacher-in-residence Positions
July 5 - August 6
Looking for a new way to stay connected during your vacation? Spend this summer at the Museum of Science as a Teacher-in-Residence. Get a behind-the-scenes perspective of the Museum, learn from our staff as you share your knowledge of formal learning environments with us, and serve as a liaison between the Museum and your school / district.
Each Teacher-in-Residence works on a relevant Museum project, participates in a weekly teacher learner seminar, and works on an independent project of his or her choice.
Choose to work five 6-hour days or four 7 1/2-hour days each week. During the school year, you are also expected to work an additional 24 hours to research and develop a product determined by you and your Museum partner. All participants must also attend a call-back meeting scheduled for Saturday, December 4. Although we are not able to offer housing, we do offer stipends of $3,000.
The following opportunities are made available with generous support from Genzyme Corporation, the Gordon Foundation, Liberty Mutual, NASA, and the Corbett Family Charitable Foundation, Inc.:
