Summer Teacher-in-residence Positions

July 6 - August 14

Spend your summer learning at the Museum of Science as a teacher-in-residence. Be immersed each day in our rich learning environment as you work on a specific Museum project, and participate in a weekly teacher learner seminar.

In order to accommodate summer schedules, selected participants can choose five weeks between July 6 and August 14 during which to work five 6-hour days or four 7 1/2-hour days. Participants are also be expected to spend an additional 24 hours researching and developing a product to be determined by you and your Museum partner. A call-back meeting is scheduled for Saturday, December 5. We are not able to offer housing; however stipends of $3,000 are available.

Summer 2009 includes the following positions:

Math in the Museum: Upper elementary / middle school teacher (1 - 2 positions)

Science and Literacy: Elementary teacher or reading specialist (2 positions)

Dynamic Life: Middle school science teacher with life science background

Current Science & Technology: High school biology teacher
