Blue Zones: Secrets of a Long Life

Please join us for this Reno Family Foundation Symposium, part of the Celebrity Science Series.

World-renowned explorer Dan Buettner and his team of researchers have traveled across the globe to investigate five hot spots of human health and vitality known as "blue zones." Along the way, they've met locals teeming with vigor at age 100 and beyond who have shared their secrets to a long life. By studying the diets, lifestyles, and cultures of these elders, Buettner and his crew of top demographers, scientists, and physicians created a cross-cultural blueprint for living longer. "We know there's a recipe for longevity and that 75% is related to lifestyle," Buettner says. "And we're figuring it out." He'll transport you to these zones with dynamic National Geographic images and inspiring stories, and he'll leave you with a simple formula that reveals how you can add up to eight good years to your life!

Tickets: On sale for Museum members beginning Tuesday, March 2. Ticket sales for the general public begin Thursday, March 4. Purchase tickets in person at the Museum box office, by phone at 617-723-2500, or online at store.mos.org.
