Spahr, PhD, Director of the Minor Planet Center, Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. Near-Earth-Objects (NEOs) pose a long-term hazard to our planet. Past scars tell of many devastating impacts. How much of a threat does an asteroid impact pose today? Join us in the Charles Hayden Planetarium to journey into the asteroid belt and hear the latest news from two researchers at the forefront. April 25, 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Register online: advance registration begins at 9:00 a.m. on April 11 (April 8 for Museum members) at mos.org/events. Admission is free thanks to the Lowell Institute.
