Center for High-Rate Nanomanufacturing
The Center for High-Rate Nanomanufacturing (CHN) is a National Science Foundation Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center. It is based at Northeastern University, the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, and the University of New Hampshire.
The center partners with the Museum of Science, Boston to inform public audiences about the latest interdisciplinary approaches to science and engineering in the nanoscale realm of atoms and molecules, and the potential societal impact of these new technologies.
With support from CHN, the Museum produces regular talks, demonstrations, forums, live cablecasts via New England Cable News, podcasts, multimedia, and an annual Nanotech Symposium for Educators.
The director of CHN is Professor Ahmed Busnaina at Northeastern University and the co-director is Professor Joey Mead of the University of Massachusetts-Lowell. CHN's educational outreach efforts are directed by Professor Carol Barry at UMass-Lowell and by Carol Lynn Alpert at the Museum of Science. More information: nano@mos.org.
