Making Your Mind: Molecules, Motion, and Memory

December 4 - 5

Join us as we host a webcast of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute's Holiday Lectures on Science. Each series brings together high school students and eminent scientists at Janelia Farms. On December 4 and 5, Eric Kandel, MD, and Thomas Jessel, PhD present four hour-long lectures that explore the development, functioning, and plasticity of the human brain.

Thursday, December 4: 10:00 a.m. Mapping Memory to the Brain, 11:30 a.m. Building Brains: The Molecular Logic of Neural Circuits

Friday, December 5: 10:00 a.m. Making Your Mind: Molecules, Movement, and Memory, 11:30 a.m. Memories are Made of This

The Museum of Science also presents related offerings that include data collection and question-and-answer activities from which information will be used in the webcast. Museum educators will also be on hand throughout the Exhibit Halls.

This event is free for high school students and includes Exhibit Halls admission and an Omni film.
