The Discoverers

Members of the Discoverers Society are part of a remarkable community of individuals that share a belief in the mission of the Museum of Science and support that belief through leadership gifts to the Annual Fund. They provide the inspiration, leadership, and financial support that sustains the Museum’s educational enterprise. Essentially they ensure that the Museum is able to operate year in and year out. Join today.

The Discoverers Society Impact

Discoverers have a direct impact on the Museum’s efforts to inspire children, engage adults, and provide resources to teachers. Discoverers support helps:

  • Keep visitor-favorite exhibits alive and thriving and bring new exhibits to life.
  • Supply an invaluable path to better science education, helping fund hands-on educational programming.
  • Break down barriers to access by helping to fund visits for underserved families and communities, allowing maximum accessibility for all who visit.

Leadership in Annual Giving

Discoverers account for approximately 80% of the Annual Fund total each year, which supports every facet of the Museum’s daily operations.

The Museum of Science is grateful to have such a strong and loyal community of supporters who demonstrate their ongoing commitment every year. Through your support, you spread the joy of discovery to millions of Museum visitors each year.

Giving at the Discoverers Society Level

Membership is reserved for donors who give $2,500 or more to the Museum’s Annual Fund each fiscal year. The Museum’s fiscal year runs from July 1 – June 30.

In thanks to Discoverers, we offer a range of benefits — such as special access, exclusive events, and extraordinary experiences. Check out Discoverers levels and benefits.

Engaging children in science and technology is key to solving the problems of the future. Who is going to create potable water, reverse climate change, and invent better fuel technology? The Museum of Science engages children in the process of discovery and innovation and teaches them to become the problem solvers of the future. As a Discoverer, I share a common interest with many others who want to promote science and technology to the next generation.
