I was asked by my son what gifts I remembered getting as a child and I had to think hard. I could only remember one. Dad was out of work, we had nothing. For Christmas season, he got a part time job in a toy store. I woke up one morning and found a baseball on the couch for me. It continues to be the only gift I remember, I have told my dad, and it still brings tears to my eyes.
