EiE Mutual Connections

The Museum of Science is looking for Engineering is Elementary (EiE) users - teachers in grades 1-5 and elementary math specialists - to help connect EiE units to mathematics to further develop Content Connections, EiE's free online searchable database of classroom lesson plans.

On December 13, 2008, at the Museum of Science, EiE will be hosting a Mutual Connections Workshop. Teachers who have used at least one of the following EiE units are eligible to participate in the workshop:

• Water, Water Everywhere: Designing Water Filters
• Sounds Like Fun: Seeing Animal Sounds

Participants Will	Participants Will Receive
attend a workshop at the Museum of Science on Saturday, December 13, 2008 from 9am-12pm. Brainstorm mathematics connections (lesson plans) for either "Water, Water Everywhere" or "Sounds Like Fun." Breakfast will be provided. submit at least 2 math connections to EiE's Content Connections lesson plan database.	an EiE Teacher Guide for a unit of your choice. a $150 stipend upon completion of the following: participation in the workshop. completion of a brief workshop evaluation. submission of 2 math connections.
